The 5th AIDS Forum of Beijing, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan
The Hong Kong AIDS Foundation is proud to be invited to co-organize and co-host the 5th AIDS Forum of Beijing, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan (the Forum) on 12-13 April, 2019 at the GIS NTU Convention Center in Taipei City. The theme will be “Diversified Prevention Programmes and Trainings”.
Meet our guest speakers:
1. Professor Chen Zhiwei is the Director of the AIDS Institute and Professor of Department of Microbiology of the University of Hong Kong. His research team have created a universal antibody, titled “BiIA-SG”, which targets all strains of HIV/AIDS, including genetically divergent forms. BilA-SG attaches to the host protein CD4 and attacks invading HIV-1 particles to protect CD4 positive T-cells. Chen will speak on the topic of “HIV Immunotherapy” to share more findings.
2. Mr. Yuzuru Ikushima is a famous social worker in HIV/AIDS in Japan and Representative Director of PLACE Tokyo. He will deliver a speech on “Experiences of Place Tokyo: Challenges of Japan and Asia”.
3. Ms. Pansy Yu Po Chu, Advanced Practice Nurse, Special Medical Service, Department of Medicine, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Hospital Authority of HKSAR. Ms. Yu is also the member of Community Forum of AIDS, Hong Kong Advisory Council on AIDS, Department of Health, HKSAR and member of Executive Board, The Hong Kong AIDS Foundation. She strives to provide high quality of health-care services to people living with HIV. The topic of her speech will be “Searching for the Map of Health-care Services”.
